The Eyes Have It: Drawing Eyes, Eyelashes and Expression Please request the proper paper to work on:  FIRST Look up some artists/designers and explain how eyes have been used by them in the past... Cut and past a link to a video (vimeo, links only) or website with artists/designers who use EYES in their work, and describe what you like best about their artwork. You will be working on creating a drawing where eyes are the focus.... For the first drawing you may begin in pencil to draw an over-sized eye. Nosey Personalities: Drawing Noses Less is More Is t;here geometry in drawing faces? http://www.goldennumber.net/beauty/ Some Kids in Middle Schools cut a photo in half, then draw the other side... ever done one of these?  Did it help? http://www.kinderart.com/drawing/facestudy.shtml People try to tell you to start with an oval, and put the eyes at the half-way mark, My students have always hated these drawings when I made them divide the head this way http://howtodrawaperson.org/how-to-draw-a-persons-face/ Here is why the proportions are first taught in the full front view, it is because when the head turns to display the 3/4 view, you need to map out the same proportions as though they are on a globe. Have someone sit very still for you and pose. Be sure to have some light source which will allow you to see how the flesh of the ear is transparent....
